Viva Las Vegas?

Next stop was Las Vegas. The drive into Nevada was particularly scenic and then 'The Entertainment Capital of the World' came into view.

People have told me that Vegas is like Disney World for adults, and it certainly had lots of weird and wonderful things to check out, including the famous Bellagio fountains and Ceasars Palace.

We did a little gambling (I won $17), shared an amazing Smores' cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory and then ventured to see the strip at night.

I have to admit Vegas isn't somewhere I'm in a rush to visit again (unless a generous millionaire invites me). It was a bit too gawdy and noisy, which can be fun for a day or two, but I prefer a bit of history or nature. Luckily our next stop was one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon.
